EPR Authorization Registration

EPR (ExtendedProducer’s Responsibility) is a policy issued by CPCB (Central Pollution Control Board) for regulating and managing Electronic and Electrical waste. The policy was issued in 2016 and mandated in 2018. The policy is applicable on any producer who is producing electronics in the Indian market. A producer could be an importer/manufacturer/bulk-seller. The policy has been formed in the form of a Licence/Authorization/Registration/Certificate and is meant to be taken before importing goods into the Indian markets or by a manufacturer right before introducing the goods into the market. In case the producer has been generating electronics before obtaining the EPR Authorization previous sale data in meant to be submitted in the application form. The sales data is automatically tracked by the CPCB and through a particular calculation table the liabilities allotted to the producer are calculated.
